Wednesday evening was the first time in six days that Dave was able to get up on his own. We had a small but nice Thanksgiving and each day; he has had some improvement. He is up a little bit longer and he may be getting stronger as the days progress.
The pain is still an ongoing issue, but we are managing it better. We are staying on top of it for now with the Opioids every four hours and Ibuprofen every six, as Dave’s Doctor reminded him, it is a temporary solution for his disease progression until the drug therapy takes effect. As long as Dave can handle the medications, the plan is to reverse the cancer and put it into remission. We continue to have hope and trust it.
Thanks to you all. Your loving thoughts and prayers seem to have made the difference to Dave on Wednesday evening. He even tried to make a few bad jokes and ate some bean soup at the dinner table. I am still very tired but as we both adjust, I will do my best to keep you posted. ~Bless you all~
Thank you so much for the update. Terry and I continue to lift you all up in prayer. We are so thankful for the progress you all are seeing. A belated Happy Thanksgiving. Prayers for continued recovery. LeAnn Baldy
