I'm allergic to fish and shellfish among other things. These days, It is a challenge for me to even smell it as the oils can cause a restriction in my airways. David loves all things fish, poor guy. But even though, his diet is mostly plant based at Hope4Cancer, he is enjoying some type of fish, twice a day.
Dave is working with a brilliant nutritionist. He is amazed at how he can look at blood levels and interpret his diet and communicate what foods will fill the deficiency gap that he has been overlooking.
Dr. Tony talks about how most cancers are smart cancers and they figure out how to adapt to your environment. Changing his diet will be an important part of his well care plan. David meets with the nutritionist today to go over the diet they will recommend for him for the next three months.
He met with the nutritionist. We know his protein and cholesterol are too low. Dave will text images later today. It sounds like he'll be rotating his diet plan from plant based to keto to some intermittent fasting and adding plant based smoothies in to raise the protein level. He will also be allowed to have non genetically modified, grass fed, organic chicken, beef, bison, fish etc. We will see!
Waiting is always the hardest part -
Not yet, we don't expect results until tomorrow. We just have to wait... I should be used to it by now.
A y word on his blood test results?
I'm sure his diet will be mostly plant based. He won't be receiving daily fish here but we'll find resources for him.
